Established
in 1987, Ireland's international financial sector is based principally
in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Dublin
and has grown at an impressive rate. Ireland is now a significant
world financial centre for a wide range of activities. Total funds
under management in the IFSC, including non-Irish domiciled funds,
now exceeds €400 billion, with IFSC bank assets in excess of
€15 billion.
The principal activities carried out in the IFSC include banking,
insurance, treasury management, funds management, leasing, software
development and back-office services. Ireland's reputation as a well
regulated, flexible international centre is reflected in the range
and standing of the financial services groups operating in the IFSC.
Our Financial Services team has extensive experience in advising clients
in the Financial Services sector.
